Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Michelangelo ("the app"), an AI-powered tool that turns natural-language ideas into native mobile app projects. By using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The service

Michelangelo lets you describe an app idea, generates a working project (source code included), preview it on-device, edit the code, and optionally publish it to the public Explore feed. AI-generated output may be imperfect; you are responsible for reviewing generated code before relying on it.

2. Accounts

You sign in with Apple, Google, GitHub or an email one-time code. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country). You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Edit Profile → Delete account; deletion is permanent and removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Your content and generated code

You retain ownership of the prompts you write and the projects you create. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store and process your content to operate the service — and, for projects you publish to Explore, to display and distribute them to other users until you unpublish or delete them.

4. Content standards (Explore / published projects)

When publishing content you must not create, upload or promote content that involves or facilitates:

• Violence, hate speech or discrimination, harassment or bullying;
• Sexual or adult content, and strictly no sexual content involving minors;
• Illegal activities, drugs, weapons, gambling, or self-harm;
• Malware, phishing, or unauthorized collection of personal data;
• Infringement of others' intellectual property or privacy.

We moderate published content: users can report projects and block authors, projects with multiple reports are automatically hidden pending review, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards. Objectionable content can be reported from any published project; we review reports and act on them.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the service: no scraping, no circumvention of rate limits or fair-use quotas, no attempts to probe or disrupt our infrastructure, no use of the app to build products that violate applicable law or third-party rights.

6. Subscriptions (supporter tiers)

• Optional auto-renewable annual subscriptions ("supporter" tiers) unlock a supporter badge and fund development. The app is fully functional without a subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your App Store account settings.
• You can restore purchases from the paywall screen. Refunds are handled by Apple per App Store policies.

Use of the app is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

7. Third-party services

The app relies on third-party providers (Apple, Supabase, Cloudflare, AI model providers, GitHub, Expo, Hugging Face). Their terms apply to their respective services. AI generation routes your prompts to third-party AI models as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Michelangelo app, brand, and website are our property. Open models (e.g. Land 1.0, based on Qwen2.5-Coder) remain under their respective licenses.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated code may contain errors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or data loss arising from use of the app.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above and in the app's release notes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
